Designing a unified high-density operations terminal to consolidate fleet logistics telemetry and lower critical incident response times.
Telemetry overload.
Helix operators are responsible for tracking hundreds of live cargo transports, monitoring storage temperatures, routes, and immediate safety issues. Previously, this meant managing 12 separate browser panels, each running a legacy telemetry service.
Critical warnings, such as cargo refrigeration breakdowns, were buried in notifications. Response latency averaged over 22 minutes, leading to cargo spoilage and disrupted routing.
Density discipline.
Operators didn't need *less* data; they needed *structured* density. We rejected standard designs that hid analytics inside dropdown menus.
We organized the viewport into a strict three-tier layout: high-priority warning logs at the top, a spatial monitoring grid in the center, and dynamic controls in a side-deck. Critical indicators glow in Otiis's Signal Yellow, drawing direct attention.
Consolidated control.
We crafted the console interface with a dark visual theme, using clear borders to subdivide grids and avoiding decorative components that waste space.

The new Helix Console successfully merged 12 separate tracking dashboards into a single viewport. Average operational response latency dropped from 22 minutes to 8 minutes, lowering spoiled cargo cases by 60%.
Training time for new operators was cut in half, from 4 weeks to 2 weeks, leading to immediate system cost efficiencies.
